At the ripe old age of two, she:
• is still into shoes. Anyone's shoes. She wore "uncle Aaron's" last week in AK.
• says soo many things and has moved to using pronouns... "my toy" rather than "Ruby's toy"... it's so cute!
• is showing an interest in potty training - although I'm not sure if I'M ready!
• wants hugs when she's sad - she holds out her arms and says "Hugs?"
• loves animals. Especially doggies and monkeys.
• insists on calling Grandma or Grandpa several times a day. She brings me the phone and repeats "Call Gamma" over and over until I relent.
• has a cute little bottom lip pout and tremble when she's sad.
• would rather read "beside you" than "with you"... meaning, if I sit down to read her a book she wants to have a book of her own on her lap and say jibber jabber along with me reading, as if she's reading a book too.
• can identify almost every letter of the alphabet.
• has been able to spell her name for months.
• can sing her ABCs from beginning to end, not missing a single letter. But, NOT on command. Of course. You have to overhear it.
• loves Curious George and Max & Ruby.
• can draw several shapes and her own version of a 'cupcake'.
• insists that I draw for her and squeals with delight when I do as she identifies the pictures.
• hates to have dirty hands.
• prefers milk. Not a big juice fan but she likes water and watered down apple juice.
• will eat pretty much anything.
Happy Birthday, baby girl. We love you.

Happy Birthday Sweetie! enjoy the 2's I loved that age.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Ruby!!!
ReplyDeleteIf she is showing an interest in the potty, I would take it and run.
