movin' on up

Last night James and three of his Squirt teammates were chosen to skate with the Varsity players at/before their game. Really there wasn't much skating involved, but he was pumped as all get out and thought he was pretty hot stuff. They announced his name with the starting lineup and he stood there in line while they played the anthem.

The varsity boys got whomped, but oh well. It was fun to see a more fast paced game but not as fun to see the checking and fights (yes, there were two fights!) with the fact in mind that he will be allowed to check NEXT YEAR. Hoo boy I'm not looking forward to that...

Can't forget to mention the other piece of our family got home today. She's as sassy as ever and despite getting up at 5 for the drive down she's refused to nap. She does love James' new room as it's empty and echoes, she's been dancing in there for an hour. I'll try to catch a picture of that. She stops when I come near with a camera.
