The baby's room - I'm stuck. What color to paint the walls?

Floyd has told me that the baby will be just as happy to have James' old sharks swimming around as anything. I would leave it but 1) the blues don't quite match and 2) The paint really, REALLY has taken a beating and needs freshening anyway. It WOULD work, because the baby's room will be a lil' surfer dude theme. Here is what James' room looked like put together with sharks:

I have the baby's quilt designed and handed over to Grandma again to put together. It's got so many colors, and that's part of my problem. I have a sketch/rough draft of it but not going to post it on here because it is so rough that it really doesn't look like what the final quilt will - much.

Here are the colors in the fabrics. Too many options.

I will say, the colors that are my faves are the greens, oranges, and blues... still isn't helpful for me though.

Argh. Make a decision!

I am baking James' birthday cake today. He has been on 'spring break' since Wed. and today he is off to his Math Masters competition until this afternoon. I've got some inspiration and pray that I can pull it off.

Also trying to get my house put together and cleaned up a bit for my parents as they are coming down for the weekend.

  1. Not sure if you want feedback here or on your blog. So I'll put it in both places.

I'm totally digging the orange and green with royal blue accents. If I could do my nursery over again, I'd probably go with orange or purple.

That probably doesn't help much, but perhaps it helps solidify what you're already liking.

    GL!
