I've also been slacking in the picture taking (*gasp!*) area. When Ruby was new, there were new pictures and snapshots every day. I have gotten that first, aforementioned photo shoot out of the way and done one since, but I need to have my point and shoot closer at hand. Because this guy is not going to be small for so long.
Another slacker mom list item. Supposed to bring him to his 2 wk appointment. In order to do that I need to MAKE such an appointment. Oh well, Ruby is not up on all her well baby - I think 18 mos or two years was the last? Horrible, horrible. Part of my hesitation is that I have a friend whose son's autism seems linked to getting the regularly scheduled shots, and I want to be more informed before I just get the ones on the roster. I better get on that. I do plan to delay, just not sure how. Scares me!
Another good example of slacker-mom-itis? My housework - but thankfully my husband has been in and out to get dishes and such done. I loooooooove him. The laundry, well, that would fall into the same category.
What else do I need to do since I'm listing this stuff? I want/need to get Ruby into some sort of gymnastics or music or figure skating, etc. program. I am opposed to dance classes right now - just because I see how they cake that makeup on those little girls. Not a fan. I know she would get a kick out of the costumes and whatnot. We'll find her an outlet. Even if it is just something through the community center or ECFE.
Also need to (finish) potty training Ruby. She's gone downhill and we've let it go - because of lack of energy and follow through. I don't have a ton of concern here, she is a pretty independent and self motivated kid, so I think we will be fine once we keep it up. I am really tired, however, of changing the ultimate in poopy stinky diapers. Eeeeee!
All in all, life is grand. Emmett (Otto as Ruby calls him) is not sleeping much at night, but I go to bed fully prepared to be awakened SOON. For I know this stage will go by in a blink - two weeks already has!!

2 wks already.
ReplyDeleteI put Maggie in swim right now. I'm wait to see what the spring schedule at the Y brings.
What a handsome little guy! I bet Roobs would thrive in Gymnastics!
ReplyDeleteWe're doing the Dr. Sears alternative vaccine schedule. Pick up The Vaccine Book. (I'd loan it to you, but I borrowed it from a neighbor) It was VERY informative. The schedule requires more trips to the clinic, but worth it, IMHO. Let me know if you have questions.
